Bolton's Crown Quality, Inc. was  founded in 1960 by L.C. (Chet) Bolton.  Bolton's Crown Quality is an amalgamation of three companies, Greenbelt Storage, Crown Quality Seed, and Wilbarger & Harrold Elevators.  The main focus of business was feed manufacturing, selling of certified seed, grain elevators, and storage. Mr. Bolton was supported in this business by his son-in-laws, Bob Ferguson and Steve Brown.  Mr. Bobby Morris, a long time employee, was in charge of the grain elevators and storage.
     In 1999, Chet Bolton retired from the business and Mr. Brown resigned to become Director of the Texas A&M Seed Foundation.    Mr. Bolton's son, Dr. Jack Bolton, became the majority owner and CEO.  Dr. Bolton, because of having grown up in the business, has been active in reorganizing the companies.
     The three separate corporations have been consolidated into one corporation, Bolton's Crown Quality, Inc. (B.C.Q).  Mr. Bob Ferguson now serves as President of the Company.  Mr. Bobby Morris is the Vice President.  Britt Ferguson, third generation of The Bolton family, has recently joined the company as Chief Operations Officer.  Britt received his ag business degree from Texas Tech University.
     An extensive modernization construction project was initiated in 2000.  A new fertilizer mixing plant was constructed for customized formulation of fertilizers by soil analysis.  New dry and liquid fertilizer applicators were purchased to scientifically apply fertilizer using computer driven and GPS directed machines.  Each farmer will receive a detailed application report and GPS field map for their records.
     The three-grain elevators have been modernized to handle high volume of wheat.  New railroad sidings also have been built to accommodate 110 car wheat trains for shipment.  We believe by shipping in unit trains, we can benefit our customers.

     The mission for Bolton's Crown Quality is to address the agri-business needs of North Texas/Southern Oklahoma.  We desire to provide an efficient, economical and high tech approach to enhance our customers quality of doing business.
